Description

The “Femme in the Field” award at the Beam Awards recognises and celebrates women who are trailblazers in male-dominated industries. This category is dedicated to honouring women who have made significant strides in fields traditionally dominated by men, breaking barriers and setting new standards of excellence. It is open to women who own businesses or work in sectors where male presence is more predominant, showcasing their achievements, leadership, and contributions in challenging environments.

There will be one gold winner and one silver winner for this category.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Women who own or operate businesses in industries traditionally dominated by males, or those holding significant positions in such sectors.
• Demonstrates leadership, innovation, and resilience in a male-dominated field.
• Has made significant contributions to their industry, setting a new precedent for female participation and success.
• Acts as a role model and inspiration for other women aspiring to enter or excel in similar fields.

Eligibility Criteria for Femme in the Field Category:

• Open to women in Australia who are significantly involved in male-dominated industries, either as business owners or key professionals.
• Employed or operating a business for a minimum of 12 months
• Business located in Australia.

Compulsory Requirements for all applications for Beam Awards 2024

• Australia Resident
• Business must have an Australia Business Address
• Must be over the age of 18
• Must be in business for a minimum of 12 months (unless applying for Business Professional of the Year or Femme in the Field)

Must be able to attend the Beam Awards Gala on the 1st June 2024. If you think you maybe away or overseas or have a significant event on this date, please do not apply. We hope to have all the finalists in the room on the Gala Night. Presenting an award to the recipient makes for a more enjoyable experience for you and the guests in the room that come to see you win.
