The “Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion” award is a key category at the Beam Awards, aimed at recognising individuals, businesses, or organisations that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to promoting diversity and fostering an inclusive environment. This award celebrates those who have implemented effective strategies and initiatives that embrace diversity in various forms – be it in gender, race, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, or cultural background – and have actively worked towards creating an inclusive culture in their professional environments.

There will be one gold winner and one silver winner for this category.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Businesses, organisations, or individuals who have shown a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion within their operations or community activities.
• Demonstrated innovative approaches to promoting diversity and inclusion.
• Made tangible impacts in creating or enhancing an inclusive culture.
• Actively involved in initiatives or programs that support underrepresented groups.
• Advocates for diversity and inclusion, influencing others to follow suit in their respective fields.

Eligibility Criteria for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Category:

• Trading for a minimum of 12 months
• Business located in Australia.

Compulsory Requirements for all applications for Beam Awards 2024

• Australia Resident
• Business must have an Australia Business Address
• Must be over the age of 18
• Must be in business for a minimum of 12 months (unless applying for Business Professional of the Year or Femme in the Field)

Must be able to attend the Beam Awards Gala on the 1st June 2024. If you think you maybe away or overseas or have a significant event on this date, please do not apply. We hope to have all the finalists in the room on the Gala Night. Presenting an award to the recipient makes for a more enjoyable experience for you and the guests in the room that come to see you win.
